About Us

Inspirer (noun): to fill with an animating, quickening, or exalting influence.

Inspirer is a Los Angeles based publication that celebrates groundbreaking women from across a variety of fields. From iconic entertainers to unsung community activists, every woman has a story to be shared and every story matters. We believe that there’s more to an actress than her latest diet, that there’s more to female musicians than a sexualized video hit. We dig deeper to share the meaningful stories that inspire others.

We’re about women. We’re by women. We’re for women.

Lily Grae

Staff Writer

Lily grew up around the corner from Janis Joplin’s hometown, and consequently found herself enthralled by the stories and music of the leading women of rock ’n’ roll at a young age. Since graduating from Texas A&M University in 2015, Lily has spent most of her time writing and recording music, as well as working on projects in which her goal is to take music back to a simpler time and pay homage to the artists who inspired her, and countless others, to pursue their dreams. When she isn’t in the studio, or on stage, Lily enjoys getting overly invested in shows on Netflix, reading memoirs, and eating carbs. She can often be found in her local coffee shop, feeding her caffeine habit and giving impromptu lectures on the history of rock ’n’ roll.
